The Cambridge IT Skills Certificate is provided now at Jeddah Community College (JCC) within the preparatory year for JCC students; males and females as well.
Dr. Ahmad Alabdulwahab, the dean of JCC, states that JCC is providing the Cambridge IT Skills Certificate because of its value among the standardized certificates provided by the international Association of Cambridge, which is related to the well-regarded University of Cambridge. Dr. Alabdulwahab also adds that this certificate is recognized by many private and public sectors, educational institutions in several Arab countries and it is recognized by the Ministry of Civil Service as well as many other ministries.
Dr. Alabdulwahab also says that JCC aims at providing the community of Jeddah with the educational services since its establishment, so a variety of professional programs has been given at JCC. In addition, the college tries to meet the requirements of the labor market and the students' needs in the same time.
Dr. Bassam Zafar, the head of Computer and Information Technology Department, states that the JCC is now considered as a Training and Test Center for the Cambridge Certificate. Therefore, JCC can train its students and provide courses for the people from private and public sectors.
JCC is one of the King Abdulaziz University Faculty, it was established in 1423 A.H / 2003. The length of study at JCC is three years, including the preparatory year. JCC is aiming at achieving a successful learning for all students. Plus, it is the first community college in the kingdom which enables its students to get International professional certificates besides the associate diploma which they get from the college. All of this has been achieved because of the unlimited support given by the president of the university, Prof. Osama bin Sadeq Tayeb, and the university vice presidents who contributed to these achievements.
