The First Orientation Program (2014-2015)


JCC has organized the 1St orientation program for its new students on Tuesday 16/09/2014
in JCC auditorium. The event was headed by JCC Dean Dr. Ahmad Alabdulwahab. It was an open meeting for students with JCC Dean, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty members and Administrative staff. In the meeting, JCC Dean gave an idea about JCC programs and focused on a new project adopted by the college, namely JCC affiliation and working in partnership with several international academies and establishments which grant professional certificates in Computer and Business fields. He clarified the importance of these professional certificates that make JCC students professionally competent in local and international job market. The mentioned academies and establishments are Cisco, Microsoft, Cambridge and Adobe in computer field, and ACCA and CII in Business field. Within this stream, JCC modified its programs and curricula so that JCC students can qualify professional certificates exams. Dr. Mohammad Hazzin talked about Insurance program, and Dr. Tariq Alrasheedi talked about Accountancy program within the new professional certificate project.

JCC Vice Dean, Dr Mohammad Alshumrani advised the students to be punctual, smart in their appearance, avoid staying up late at night during working days, and encouraged them to take part in JCC Students’ Activities Committees. In the same time, the pioneers of these committees announced themselves and they are Dr Mohammad Faid for sport committee, Dr Mayhoub Abdulazim for social committee, Dr Mohammad Aman for Islamic awareness committee, Mr Asem Algarni for cultural committee. Also, the Vice Dean for development, Dr Mohammad Balubaid talked to the students about e-learning (Blackboard) application that is adopted by the college, and he clarified its benefits and advised them to use it in their study.
