Skills of Studying

 
Within the activities of JCC Cultural Community, Dr. Adnan Rashed Alateeq, a JCC faculty member, presented a lecture of title “Skills of Studying and the Optimum way to Succeed”. It was on Tuesday 28/10/2014, 11:00 am, in JCC auditorium. The lecture presented the effective methods for university-study to achieve success. Firstly, the presenter emphasized that the student should plan for his study period and his future life, he should be organized and retain the knowledge and skills he acquired and exploit his time optimally with using all available facilities. He further clarified the difference between the education in the schools (learning only) and in the university (learning and studying). The lecture highlighted the fact that the knowledge has to be taken in doses, i.e. daily, weekly and prior to exams. In addition, it has been focused on the preparations for the main exams that should be done within sufficient time before the exam with repetition, exchanging information with classmates, and visiting teachers to benefit of their notes. Finally, the students were advised to follow some practices before and during the exam, of having enough night sleep, awareness of time and place of the exam, using all exam-time and leaving a margin time for revising the answers.
